Description

The famous Trilemma has been called the most important witnessing tool in Christian apologetics.  It was first cited by the American preacher Mark Hopkins in his book Lectures on the Evidences of Christianity (1846); later used by Scots preacher “Rabbi” John Duncan around 1859-60; R. A. Torrey; W. E. Biederwolf; stated masterfully by C. S. Lewis in Mere Christianity; made famous in the last several decades by Josh McDowell. The Trilemma argument is in the public domain.

The main purpose of the argument illustrated in the chart is to force the individual to consider the clear claims of Christ by showing the logical inconsistencies of alternate views.  Every Christian should have this bookmark in his Bible.

The vertical format is available for those who are familiar with the black-line flow chart used by Josh McDowell for the last fifty-plus years.  However, the left-to-right flow of argument in the horizontal format is more comfortable for others.  Both formats are included in the download.
